I gave in....
All is well PuckLuck. Just don't reload. Are you drinking today or are you wishing you had not drank yesterday? Write down what was going on in your head when you decided to drink. Don't spend too much time on shame. It is a main strategy of your dirty AV to keep you drinking.
Puck, I thought you might have. I was just going to go to the June thread to ask you to come back and post. It is true, don't be shameful, just get right back on. Today is your day one and you stay in the class of June with us. Honestly, even through the internet I saw it coming by how your posts changed. How can we avoid it next time?
Puck - maybe it served an important purpose. Sometimes we need further proof that it's no longer fun, relaxing, or useful in any way. I chased the old feeling of comfort & escape that it used to bring me - but those days are never coming back. I'm glad you posted - shame is a useless emotion. Let's get on with recovery.

Shame, guilt, sickness....its all the worst feeling....
But, some of us keep giving in.....its the insidiousness of this condition.
Which for me is a "grave" emotional condition....literally a "grave" condition.....
