Day 10

Double digits.

So things are over all getting easier. Cravings has diminished quite a bit.

Irritability and sleeping for 12 hours seem to be my problems at the moment!

Anyway, hope everyone has a great day

Well done on day 10. The sleeping is a GOOD thing, just think of all the repairing your body can do in that time!

Day 10 is great, well done! it gets loads better sleep wise I promise, I am coming up to about 4 months now and for the first month I was definitely still waking halfway through the night and felt like my fatigue was bordering on the unnatural. For the last month though, sleep seems a lot better, minimal waking up and generally feeling what I think is sober normal in terms of tiredness. Guess the body takes a while to detoxify.
Keep posting, looking forward to reading about your journey
Love Billy x

And well done to you, Billy 👍👍👍

I read somewhere (I can’t find the reference) that sleep patterns can take up to 2 years to become normal in an ex-drinker. I doubt it’s that long. It’s also difficult to quantify even with fitness tracker watches. A drunk might sleep 9 hours, but a lot of that will be poor quality sleep. A sober person might then sleep 6 hours, but it’ll be much better sleep than the drunk guy’s.

One things for sure. Booze doesn’t help anyone sleep. I was always tired as a drinker.

It took me about 10 days to 2 weeks to find a natural sleep rhythm again - I might have been lucky but most of the stories I read here are pretty similar.

Congrats on 10 days Al

Ride that sleep wave AI. So much healing going on when we are under. My sleep is shyte after 7 months but I think I might come by some of that naturally. Insomnia seems to be a common family trait on both sides. Congrats on 10 days by the way. That is fantastic and must feel so good.
