Been getting at least 1 in everyday since my last binge and can say they are good. Cool thing about them is there is so many you can work it around a work schedule. If you dont want to be seen or talk, dont have too. But yes they help alot!!

It took me a few minutes to figure out too. I use a cell so its easier. Actually 1 meeting I just put it on the bluetooth and went for a drive. Obviously not as good as a person to person meeting but I will take what I can get.
Looking foward to the face to face meetings myself. For me being a control freak/ego driven person, that humility is welcome. Not to mention I'm ready to get a sponsor and get moving through these steps.

Just depends on the meeting. Most I have been on are decently organized. Raise hand to speak etc. Stay muted unless ready to speak. They are good, I have enjoyed them alot. I kinda of ran into this head first this time. No longer dipping my toe in the water. Did that too many times. I'm all in this go around. Finally after 25 years I realized I cant control it.
I love zoom meetings. Almost prefer them to in person meetings because of convenience. All my home group meetings are online and if I really need a meeting I look in LA, there are meetings at every hour of the day there.
Just download zoom. Register. And find a link to a meeting on one of the local AA websites.
Here is the link to the local Los Angeles chapter of AA. If you click on the link and wait a few seconds a splash page pops up and it is all about online meetings.

Although according to the AA Traditions, "AA ought never be organized, " all the Zoom meetings I have been to have gone very well. Occasionally, trolls will log on and ntry to disrupt things but they are usually quickly locked out by the Zoom host. I would suggest trying your local meetings, but here is a group on the east side of Seattle with frequent meetings:

I'll be honest. After hundreds upon hundreds of in person AA meetings over the years, working with sponsors, sponsoring a few guys (when I actually had sufficient sober time and went through all 12 steps), chairing meetings, doing the deal... I have never enjoyed AA.
In fact I have witnessed and personally experienced a lot of toxic BS which has really turned me off. That's just been my personal experience with the program... BUT the principles and teachings I have learned along the way in AA are sound and do work. So like the saying going, take what works and leave the rest.
It might be my introverted personality, too, but I am interested in trying the online Zoom meetings.
Sounds like good support along the way for someone like myself who genuinely does not enjoy in person meetings.
