Down the sink

Down the sink 1/2 bottle plantation rum, 1/4 bottle Wybrowa polish rye vodka and 1 bottle Irish stout. All the alcohol I have left in my flat gone down the sink.

Got on my knees and prayed to God to let this be the last time and for me to be sober!

Congratulations on throwing out the alcohol! I hope you have the support you need to make this a permanent sobriety.

What's your plan to stay sober? It's a good idea to have a strategy in place to get you thru moments of temptation or doubt.

An important part of my plan was to practice gratitude every day. It made a big difference in my whole life, not just my sobriety.

I have poured lots of booze out and never regretted it as much as I regretted actually drinking it.

Good on you, Stable! You can do this, and never have to feel this way again. I pray that you achieve sobriety, and if you feel an urge to drink, come here and post about it. It's hard not to drink--how well I know this! but it is worth all of the effort--you can have the good, dignified, and sober life that you deserve.

You've done a good thing. I always used to tell myself I'd stop once the booze I had in the house ran out. Trouble was it never seemed to run out.
I wish you all the best. This is a good place to come to when things get tough.

Feeling relieved I shave thrown out the booze. I’m not going to count days this time.

I am going to concentrate on 24
hours at a time.

I'm glad you're back on track, Stable.
It might be a good idea to come up with some specific ideas to use next time you get a craving.

I'm glad you're feeling relieved, Stable. It is a great relief to be free of the burden of alcohol. An hour, a minute, a second at a time--just for then I will not drink...you've got this, and you're in the right place for help. My prayers for you continue.

Thanks a lot for your prayers it means a lot to me. I will pray for you all as well.

Concentrating on each and every 24 hours just telling myself I will not drink today is the way I will handle things this time and not count days.
