100 days reflections
I now have 100 consecutive sober days. I have only ever had this much sober time twice in the last 25 years. I feel so much clearer, calmer and at peace.
I feel the more sober time I have the past and my actions start to come into focus. I am remembering things now that I haven’t thought about in a long time. I have spent time thinking a lot about why I behaved poorly with people I cared about, how I got to this point in my life, and what I want to do with my life now.
I do get upset when I think about how much time was wasted in drinking. It had not only implications for my career, but all that time lost could have been spent learning something artistic, spending real quality time with family, or just getting to know myself and my motivations.
Nonetheless I am very thankful for these 100 days. Wishing everyone a happy Easter!
