Rehab during Corvid 19 day 10
Well day 8th sleep was not as well as the other nights. I quit taking Lithium be choice. Day 9 was very easy. I went to the doctor and my bp was high but improved. My dr told me that he felt out of a lot of his patients who have went thru quitting alcohol I was one who he felt would make it. Yes I know he probably tells this to everyone, but he is bluntly honest. He has called me one his worst patients in the past so I will take it. Today was not as easy, I have some strong urges and doubts.I have gotten past them because this was during my trigger time and that is over. My strength is being ordered to stay home.My biggest fear is when this is over how will I deal with going back to normal life as I remembered it it and worst how I lived it. I guess one thing in my favor is I am aware that this is coming. Maybe by then I will have insurance to go to rehab, that is of course if they don't call it a preexisting condition. Good luck to you all and thanks for your responses and support
The past is over as we all look forward with positive
thoughts and actions. We learn from the past and use
it to make corrections for a healthier, honest, happy
future.
Yes there is an uncertainly about what the future holds
for us, but I have to remind myself that the future isn't
here yet. All I have is today and I have to make it the best
day I can in a sober, healthy, honest way.
My recovery started out in a 28 day rehab stay with a
6 week outpatient aftercare program in which I completed
29 yrs ago and used the knowledge taught to me about my
addiction and the gift of a recovery program as my guideline
to living a sober life on a continuous bases to achieve many
of lifes rewards.
Keep moving forward, not backwards and hold onto your
recovery lifelines like SR with each step you take.
Support, care and understanding sent your way.

Hello and great job on your new sober journey.
If you are in the US, your employer is required to offer continuation of insurance. Also, "pre-existing" is no longer excluded from coverage. Continuing insurance wouldn't be cheap, but getting and staying sober is priceless. If that doesn't sell you on the idea, just think of all the cash you'll save never drinking again - it's an investment!
Whatever you do, don't drink.
That's free, as is this site and countless other programs, many of which have video meetings set up. Just Google your sober program of choice and include "online" in your search.
