Eleven months sober
Well nobody could've seen something like this coming when thinking about their recovery. For me personally it's having to once more face up to the depression I felt I was on my way out of; going out and about when and where I felt like was easily my best medicine. There are also OCD symptoms to manage as well. I fear for many people's mental health at this time.
But my sobriety feels secure enough. I guess it's just a sucker punch for everyone, and we must all find new ways to cope with the process of recovery/any mental health issues. Maybe I should be practising gratitude more: my family and I are physically healthy, I am well set up in my halfway house, I still live in the city I love (through getting sober). That sort of thing.
And today I've woken up feeling good. It's a gorgeous day in England for a mindful local walk at some point: I'm gonna head up into some nature (while social distancing of course) on the edge of my city for my exercise I think.
Like at the start of this journey, it might just be about taking each day as it comes.
I wish you all well

Congrats on 11 months Tetrax
It is a very challenging situation - especially if we have issues of mental health - but I think humans are great at adapting to their environment and I really believe this won't be forever...and surely we'll learn from this so it never happens again
