The Fire

My meeting tonight gave me my fire back.

I feel like I can handle things:
Living a life of recovery
Fixing my car (needs new brakes)
Fixing my broken tooth
Finding a job
Handling life

The only time I ever feel that way is when I'm drunk or getting there. Maybe it will work for me this time. I don't want to see how deep the hole can get.

Thank you for having me here on SR.

Good news! Rock auto will have the best prices for brake parts.

It will work!! Out of curiosity, how did you break your tooth? I broke one of my front ones (the one by my right big front tooth) in a stupid drunken trip outside. Luckily I was able to get it fixed in the week after but it was an unsettling experience to say the least. Haha 😆

And don't forget this feeling! Sometimes we can get down in the slog of it all but these moments do indeed come along to remind us that we are on the right path

Let's bring this one back since it's so much more positive.
I struggle with negative thoughts sometimes.
Meetings help with that.
So does just spewing them out once and for all.

I'll try to keep things positive for now on.
I had another good meeting tonight.

It's a rocky road that's for sure. The horizon looks good though.

I understand the negative self-image, I've struggled with that much of my life. I hope you can hang onto the positives in your life.
