One week done - I am exactly where I'm supposed to be
Morning. Reading an article today I came across this and I have seen it multiple times before.
"I am exactly where I'm supposed to be."
Don't miss the beauty that it is and the magic that it holds.
This while I'm suffering through dehydration, bad dizziness, poor sleep, exhaustion, lack of appetite, horrible constipation (TMI, I know, but a real problem), brain fog, apathy, depression, wanting to be alone, just wanting to be in my bed...
So I will soldier through all of these symptoms and remember this quote today.

I love that affirmation. I think it always helps keeps things in perspective and to keep the focus on ourselves, rather than comparisons with others.
Good job getting through the week and I hope you feel better soon.

I suffered most of that at one week sober, also. You are exactly where you are supposed to be - it gets better, I promise. I have a suggestion for you on the appetite thing - if you like it, ice cream went down really nicely for me, even when I didn't really feel like eating.
Best wishes for feeling better soon - and I think it's wonderful that you see the beauty and magic of that quote at only a week sober. I wasn't seeing a whole lot of beauty and magic at that point! I was pretty darn miserable, but I had hope for the first time in decades.
