Question about reading materials

Hey guys,

When I tackle something like quitting drinking, I like to do alot of reading about the topic. Problem is, I have ADHD and would have major trouble finishing a book. I see there is a sticky about what good books to read about sobriety but I need something on a smaller scale. Any ideas?

How about podcasts? "This Naked Mind" is often recommended as a good book but Annie Grace, the author, does a great job on her podcasts, too. There are a lot of them, and they're fairly short.

Living Sober is a great easy book about the first yr.

Podcasts I like are "Recovery Happy Hour" by Tricia Lewis, "Recovery Rocks" by Lisa Smith and Tawny Laura, and Euphoric AF.

I struggle to read/comprehend because my mind wanders, but I read High Achiever by Tiffany Jenkins in two days.

My mind also wanders, and for me it helps to only read a few pages at a time. I really have to motivate myself to keep reading a few pages at a time.

I just received the book "the Naked Mind" from Amazon, but I haven't started it yet. It was recommended by people here.

You can always get the books on audio too.
