51 Weeks Sober

Hello, folks. I haven't posted on here in quite some time, but I've been reading the forum this morning and I figured I'd chime in. My last drink was January 20 of last year. Next Tuesday I will have a year sober. The milestone has been bringing back a flood of emotions as I remember the way I felt at this time last year.
All you newcomers hang in there. The days add up and it absolutely does get easier.

Gonna pick up a chip next week?

We learn when we're new in AA that we are getting a chip at meeting level not for ourselves, but to demonstrate ...

1 To the new people that its possible to stay sober a little while

2 For your peers that may have gotten sober with you

3 For the old timers that are amazed we are still here!

I'm not sure. I haven't been to a meeting in a while.

Thank you. I'm on day 12 and this is the stuff that keeps me going! I have a deep yearning to be where you are (as I'm sure many of us do).
