new here saying hi
Starting again today, my alcohol use escalated dramatically over Xmas and New Year, my mental health isn't good at the best of times but its gone downhill lately. I'm not able to attend meetings at present but I know I need help to work at my sobriety so here I am. Cup of tea next to me as I type and dog on my lap and a tiny bit of hope in my heart.
Hi Albee. Living in Day 50 here. Not only do we have a new year in front of us to be clear, calm and liberated, we have a whole new decade. Not many of those come along in our lives. Let's live the 20's quietly and on our right roads.
It's so good to meet you, albee. You'll find encouragement & friendship here.
I found SR over 12 yrs. ago after a dangerous & scary holiday binge. It's a good time of year to quit. I never picked up again after finding the courage to stop. Mostly, I credit being able to talk things over here - with people who really understand what we're going through.
Welcome to a new and better life.

Welcome to SR.
😃
Before there were meetings to attend, people mailordered the big book and read it.
There are free PDF files all over the internet.
It's actually not that BIG ... the first 5 chapters are 50 pages or so and they will give you a great insight.
You can read the rest at your leisure. 😎
