Day 239

Good morning fam. Happy Sunday I'm on my final stretch of work for 2019 fam. Day 239 right on time. My brothers and sisters. . No worries my tool box is cocked and loaded for action if need be. Got to get past the new years. Again I'm attempting my first sober one in a very very long time. ✌

Its me again fam. Feeling good. Had to walk home today. My ride had to stay cause they had to shut down shop. Its all good tho. Home is 1.5 miles from work. Not to mention it is like warm out . wierd for December. Lol. I had a little pep in my step getting home. I should be resting. Well I am I'm chillin right now. Having me a cup of fresh Joe. Took my dogs out. Load of laundry. Shower. Life is good fam. I'll be back now and then. Got to stay on point these four days. I know its weird right? Its just like any other day but its not. 239 days ago. I would of already cracked one open. So I really dont have a plan plan. For this holiday. One thing planned is staying sober. The rest I will wing. ✌

I for one am not worried about you making it past the just-another-day on the 31st.

Don't forget to come here and ask for permission before you take a drink (if you get that close, which I don't think you will.)

239, a great accomplishment, Rican.

Living in Day 39 here SoberRican. I will wake up to Day 42 on Jan 1 of the new decade and the new year. We got this. I already have New Year's Eve mapped out starting about noon. Full of good food and movies. During my most common craving time, 4-7 or so, I will plan on a 10-mile hike during that time and keep myself moving. I have a few meetings that I can attend that afternoon and evening too. I am not really worried about it but my axe is sharpened and the toolbox full.

Nice work!!

Just got past my first sober Christmas this weekend at my parents. Usually consists of bloody Mary’s in the morning and then whatever from there. Didn’t drink and didn’t want to.

There was a point where my brother was putting them down left and right and starting talking non-stop. Nothing malicious, just completely uninteresting conversation. I was just so bored with it, I got up and went to bed. I woke up at 7:00 feeling great and I think he finally stumbled down at 11:00.

If I can get through a holiday weekend watching football all day without drinking, anyone can. Again, congrats on your continued sobriety!

That book changed my life. Literally changed it. Please let me know what you think of it when you are done (or as you are reading it! ).

Rock on Rican. I know you're Sober.

All systems go, here too.

The naked mind, hey? I'll look into that. Thank you.

Happy travels Rican.
