Day 10!
This is the longest I’ve ever went without drinking. That includes drinking through the flu. Gross.
Eating again. Exercising again. Starting to see weight changes. Anxiety has taken a complete 180.
Only real “complaint” I have is the lack of sleep. Usually 3-4 hours a night but I know that will improve. I’ll take 5 hours of tossing and turning over 10 hours of drunk sleep any day.
On to day 11!

Great going!
My anxiety got so much better almost right away. I was a complete anxious mess while drinking (even got diagnosed with anxiety disorder). It was one of the first big changes I noticed, and I really wasn't expecting it. Who knew alcohol can cause anxiety... I sure didn't and my doctors never mentioned it.

MLD, I also got diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. My doctor put me on medication. Didn’t make any difference. I was never completely honest with him on my alcohol intake so that’s completely my fault. Never knew how much alcohol can cause anxiety until now.

Hello and congrats. Yeah the sleep thing is going to be all over the place. Due to your body going thru the motions of detoxifying. It will settle down and you will be able to get some good o shut eye. Some real shut eye. ✌
Congratulations, Vinny! I think the first two weeks are the most difficult, so you're almost over the worst of it. Just remember why you have stopped and have a plan of action for when you're tempted.
I'm on Day 8 Vinny and also anxiety-free but having erratic sleep. The sleep will sort itself out. I'm just happy to wake up clear-headed and my first thought is to get a coffee, not a beer. Good job on 10 days!
Congrats Vinny, Lily and Wasting on your first almost 2 weeks!
My anxiety and panic attacks disappeared after a month of being sober. And I loved watching my blood pressure drop DAILY from stroke-level high to normal in 2 weeks.
