Boozy dinner with old friends and family tonight
and I'll be sober as a bird. I'm actually looking forward to it, not the alcohol sloshing around in everyone's cup, but seeing old friends for a bit.
The longer I am sober the less the thoughts about booze even enter my head. No thoughts at all to drink. Though I am going through some serious back pain and wish I could find some relief - bottom of a bottle doesn't tempt.
I'll be putting my daughter to bed tonight, calm and in control, no wine on my breath, no crawling cravings for more.
