I made it

Went to my younger brothers birthday party, I sang, I laughed and I did not drink, it was great, no sore head and no hangover, sparkling water and two coffee's. I hope this journey continues for me, I still have no cravings for it. X

Thank you, it was a lovely day, I even drove home, something I haven't done in two years, but I won't get to far ahead of myself, one day at a time x

Change “I hope this journey continues with “this journey will continue”. Make a commitment above all else to stay sober just for today.

Sounds great!! Brought a smile to my face reading this. My first sober event was a wedding reception. The initial uncomfortableness of not having a drink in my hand lasted about 30 minutes. Drank sparkling water and ate some nice food and then boogied ! I never knew sober dancing would be so much fun! I had a really great night and like you , made all the better for no hangover the next day plus no guilt or shame and I knew exactly what I had said and done.

Way to go. Here is to many more sober, fun filled events!
