Grateful for today

Grateful that today I am Sober today.
I did something for my recovery today. I am looking forward to another day Sober tomorrow. Huge for me. One day at a time. Living today present and clear headed.
Thank you for all your support. I want to keep going today.

Happy Thanksgiving. I am fortunate today to be surrounded by my family who know I am an alcoholic. I will not be offered alcohol. I do not think it will be present it really doesn't matter I can not drink even if it is. I will say a prayer for all the people that will be around drinking today.
The truth is this day is about reflecting on being thankful for life , present, relaxing and taking care of yourself /soul to be able to enjoy life.
If I drink today I will not be enjoying life after my body is ravaged with poison. I will not be thankful that I feel shame/guilt/sick/doom.
I will respect myself today in honor of all I am thankful for.
If you are spending your holiday alone. Post here as I will be. There is always someone here to engage with. I plan on going to a meeting today to hear how grateful people really are just to be sober.
