Worth It
Today is day 13 for me.
I just wanted to share that getting through those first few days / first week is 100% worth it. It sucks for sure. But once most of the physical stuff is behind you and you're out of the cycle of death, it's possible to start working on recovery so that you never have to go through the first week again.
I am damn grateful for SR and for the AA room I walked into two Thursdays ago for the first time on day 4. I've gone back every day since. If you're struggling, you can do it. It is possible.

Thank you for your post. Once that cycle of death clears up it does bring much
relief. I myself is attending AA every day. It is helping . I am listening to people's shares. Long term sobriety but they always share the experience of there first couple of days sober. I really understand now that I can do this as well. If I stay true to myself and do the recovery work. Before I thought I had no hope. I will have no hope if I pick up a drink. Great job- and not only is it worth it. YOU are worth it. Keep posting updates... very inspirational

The real question is HOW is it possible for you? What is different? What is motivating you?
