What do you really need right now?

What do you really need right now and how can you best give this to yourself?

I needed extra time away from work this morning to process what I'm going through. I considered taking the full day off and surrendered to that for a little bit -- and felt relief and freedom in realizing it is possible -- then realized it's going to be more fun getting some certain things done at my job today while our weather is balmy. It may be 15 degrees colder tomorrow!

I greatly appreciate the space to breath deeply, pause and consider my options.

I needed downtime. I am currently giving it to myself by snuggling up on the couch with my dogs and watching a movie. Everything I "have to" do will be there when I am done doing nothing.

I too need some down time. I am happy to say that after a sports event last night that did not get me home until 10:15, I have NOTHING planned in the evenings for the rest of the week. This is the first time in a very long time I can remember not having a million places to be. It takes it's toll emotionally and physically.

Looking forward to being home and even doing laundry!

Food. I just finished work (UK) and it's cold. I need some comfort food - beef stew and dumplings

I need to finish up a major project that has taken to long and taken me away from home far to much. Hoping within 2 weeks to be done 🤞🏼 (it’s been almost a year long project) This has taken up all my spare time but is something I must complete to be better financially independent.

I need to spend more “fun” time with my kids
I need to start therapy sessions
I need to practice better self care
I need a spa day lol

Change the needs to WILL 💜

Space. And quiet actually. Definitely space. I am taking leave because I can and I refuse to feel bad about it! So I am snuggled up, binging on cooking tv shows. Tomorrow I will go for a walk and spring clean.

A job.

Oh for the love of god.. I never thought I would have such a hard time, but I think it may be because I am 51. Before this, I've never not had a job.. I've been working professionally as a business analyst for over 13 years. This is unreal. 100 applications in 3 months, every one with a tailored resume and cover letter...

Besides that, I really need some hope. So buddy if you are up there listening to me I could really use some hope!

I probably should delete this because it is pathetic.

I don't think it's pathetic at all!

Delete work experience that goes back too far. The last 1 or 2 jobs should suffice. If you have the year you graduated from High School and/or University, get rid of them.

Make it so they have to guess at your age and make it so they guess you are in your 40s.

If the hold up is ageism then at least you have a better chance to interview and they can see how wonderful you are!

Connections. People who can, are willing and ready to help me in moving ahead in life.

Willingness to accept help, open-minded in this day and honest.

To not cave on my boundaries. Husband was threatening to get rid of the computer that has all my work on it and he didn't care. So I took the computer. Now husband is giving me grumpy silent treatment. I need my computer work.

A day at home doing NOTHING so I can get some rest as I have a pretty bad cold. Nothing I cannot handle but it makes me feel like poo. I have a meeting tonight then daughter has a sporting event, but I may skip the sporting event as I really just don't feel good. Luckily for me, I live close so I can just have another parent haul kid home.

I am looking forward to this week. I am going to make the most of it!
