Day 4 Craving badly

The mental obsession has kicked in and I have been thinking of alcohol all day.

Strong regrets about pouring my alcohol down the sink.

But I won’t drink tonight. I will fight my way to 14 days then it should get easier.

Hey Stable

not sure if you've seen this link or not but this is a pretty good list of what many of us have used to deal with cravings

https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums...-cravings.html (CarolD's tips for cravings)

Gotta be worth a read - you can do this

Yes, don't drink tonight.
Just look ahead as to how you'd feel tomorrow. You really don't want to start all over again, do you?
You can do this. We can help. Stick around here and read the above link. Do whatever it takes. It is so worth it to stay sober. And you can.
Best to you.

Don't give into the cravings. It's not worth it.
Do anything to distract yourself.

You've done well Stable, be proud of yourself. It does get easier, I promise. Stick close and post as much as you can, especially when you get the urge to drink
Take care. x

I'm sorry that you are craving, drinking now sure wouldn't help anything. Stay close to SR for the rest of the day.
I'm glad that you poured the rest of your booze out even if you aren't at this moment. Stay strong. You can do this!

That’s how you do it! Great job building that sober muscle. One day, one hour, one minute at a time if need be.

I ate/eat sweets when I crave/d. My AA bud taught me that it tricks the brain.

Plus, I hated to drink on a full tummy. The buzz was not as intense.

Thanks.

your strong cravings are precisely why pouring out the alcohol was a great idea. You will make it through this.
