There is a friend of mine that is still in the storm just as I was 6 days ago.

I have a few other things that happened today that weren't great, but I handled them best I could.

But I got a phone call from my friend that I got sober with before I was in and out again for 18 months. We both were around 3 years.

He was in a bad place on the phone and even admitted that he was drinking at the time of the call. He doesn't know the situation I'm in (or was in) but I felt it was better to let him speak on what he wanted to say and roll with him as far as showing patience and compassion. Which I was fine with doing without question cause I was were he is at but a few days ago.

I appreciate the compassion and patience shown by the SR community here.

Prayers to all those that are still suffering. Its a tough place to be.
