7 months and 7 days

Just wanted to check in as I have been so busy with work that I haven't been on here in a while. (I mean, I'm at work right now but can't sleep sooooooo)

The feeling of success I experienced at the 6 month mark has passed, but I'm still incredibly proud to have come this far. AV has been tricky in the past few weeks. After hitting half a year, it was trying to worm alcohol back into my life "You've earned it", "You can drink moderately" blah blah blah. Grateful to not have caved.

Hope you're all well on your own journeys.

Gray x

Awesome milestone. And thanks for writing about the temptation after you reached 6 months. I'm sure I'll be thinking about this post if and when I face that same temptation.

Nice job. Keep learning new ways to remain sober
and never let go of your recovery lifelines which
will help avoid falling back into old patterns or
behaviors and using alcohol to cope.

Support and care sent your way. Keep moving
forward building a strong recovery foundation
to live upon for yrs to come.
