I owe it to myself to not drink alcohol😊

One week sober,, it’s amazing how I went from not drinking five years ago, to drinking three or four beers every night. No withdrawal symptoms except for craving sweets, anxiety, and insomnia. Chocolate seems to help with cravings for some reason. Every time I have a craving I remind myself that I deserve to be healthy. It’s hard ,, very hard,, but as time goes on I believe it will get better!

Welcome to the family. You're right, it is hard - at first. But it gets better and easier the longer you stay sober.

Great job on one week, Happyturtle!

I know it's hard, but the rewards far outweigh the discomfort.

You can do this!

Well done on your week.
Stay vigilant.
Post when you are having thoughts about drinking, upcoming events etc
Cravings last around 9 mins

Glad you’re looking after yourself, it shows that you care about you.
Take care

I will get better. And it will get easier too. Eventually, it will be so easy that it becomes the unconscious default state.
