It seems alcohol is the one thing I can count on to help me feel good about myself.
It turns out that if I cut myself off on work nights, drink water, eat throughout the night, etc - I do just fine in my menial construction job.
I can do whatever the hell I want on non-work nights. It ain't like I'll ever have a significant other, family, or really any real life friends at all. So I've found quasi-happiness in being a drunk - mind you, just a partial drunk.

nah this won't wash with this audience man.
I used to think drinking made me happy too - but it didn't- it just removed my angst for a while...and made the intolerable tolerable - until it didn't anymore.
If drinking really made both of us happy or feeling good about ourselves we'd have never looked for and found this website TWTOM.
