Tough times made easier

Thank you sobriety for helping me through a really tough 3 years
I was able to be there for my mum the whole way through her illness.
She sadly passed away in the early hours of Friday morning.
I sleep easier now, knowing she is no longer in pain.
But it feels like there is something missing in my heart.

I'm so sorry for your loss Snowy - but being sober & present for your mum is a great gift - for you both I'm sure.

So very sorry for your loss Snowy. It does sometimes feel as though they have taken a piece of your heart when they pass, I try to remind myself that they also have a piece of mine so we are always connected. It is wonderful you were there for her. You are in my thoughts

I'm sorry for your loss. But as you said, being sober you could walk with her right to the door to the other side.

I am very sorry for your loss Snowy.

I was deep in active addiction when my mum died and I am glad that you were able to give your Mother and yourself the immense gift of being sober through this.

You are in my thoughts.

Sorry for your loss. She did appreciate having you there, reliable and sober during her illness. You are very brave and did the right thing.

Sending my support and sympathy too, Snowy. I am grateful to be sober as my parents are going into their mid 70s. Glad you are with us.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom in 2012 and it was a blessing to be able to be her caretaker, even if it was only for a few weeks. Hugs and prayers to you and your family.
