No Jive.

Good morning sober crew. Hope all is well with all of you in recovery. Day 135 ain't no jive folks I am just stacking these sober days up. Things are in motion making sure that monkey wrench stays shelved. So far the sober machine is running on all cylinders. And how does that come about? Just like anything you have to maintain it . make sure it stays tuned up. How ? Staying sober is a good way of maintaining it. We our the mechanics of our lives. The way we were doing it before was not working. But being stubborn boozers we thought we had it. So now what? Give up and let booze win? Or get the manual and actually read it. And apply it to our lives. In my case I put my pride and ego to the side and asked for help. And I let that person be the coach(higher power) and me be the player. And so far he has been making great plays. ✌

We'd all be wise to learn from you.
Best to you in sobriety.

The book (manual) says that self centered fear is the real problem and that the drinking was but a symptom.

This aligns precisely with my experience ...

and where the steps come in to dissolve that self involvement.
