Made it thru the weekend.

I'm reading the foreword to the 1st and 2nd editions. Zzzzzz. But it is pretty amazing that the founders had the wisdom to set an organization that is barely any organization.

First off congrats on getting through the weekend! And I forget you have a sponsor right? For me the words of the big book never truly came alive until I read it along with my sponsor. Pretty powerful stuff. Anyway, great job again and keep it up!

This, this, and more this!

When I ran out of all of my old ideas and became willing to admit complete defeat, which for me meant the realization that alcohol had become my master and nothing anyone ever did was going to get me sober again, I became willing....

And from that state of mind a teacher appeared. We started at the foreword and from then on the book came ALIVE. He was able to connect the dots so to speak, convey the deeper meanings, and explain my alcoholic condition. I cannot stress enough the importance of my sponsor then - and now!

Great call!

That's the ticket!

The choices/ actions of a person demonstrating willingness to follow direction.

A clean/ sober person!
