Amends and peace
Amends and peace
"8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all."
Soul cleansing Praying that those who I have offended or harmed in some way will find it in their hearts to forgive, and who will also find peace. This -- making amends -- is an ongoing focus, and I have found some peace when I have addressed past wrongs and offensive behavior.

I've still amends to make, though, it seems it might be that timing is everything (?)...IDK. Some I would like to spend time with and speak to are not able to be approached at this time, so I am hoping for the opportunity and the nerve to do this at some point in time.
The good news is that amends can be started long before approaching participants.
For me, a big part of the process was "mending" my behavior so that I no longer behaved in the manner that prompted the need for an amends in the first place. By no means am I downplaying the importance of an apology, but an apology is only the tip of the iceberg. I can jump into action before the appropriate time comes along for the apology.
Everything in due time when the universe deems it is time, not necessarily when I want.

I'm feeling confidence gained and sticking with committing to following through are so very important for me; otherwise, I probably would make excuses or find some reason, any reason to instead choose avoidance. Practice makes perfect.
