32 days

I noticed that my app has counted 32 days. That seems something to be rather jolly about. It feels much easier this time around (thanks everyone).

Anxiety has been a bit of a thing but again not a biggy as I have been around the block enough to know that it will take a while longer to settle. Plus I am of 'that age' anyway. So at 4 am I was still awake last night worrying about pensions. The husband asked me in the early hours what was keeping me awake (again) so I explained that I was awake worrying about whether we had enough in our pension plans. A very 1st world problem from someone who had a former life with nothing anyway!

Anyway, bless him, at 8 am this morning he woke me up with a coffee AND all our pension statements/forecasts in hand and assembled. So tonight I will have to find something new to worry about.

The sun is shining for the bank holiday weekend in the UK and life is good.

Congratulations on thirty two days, that is awesome!
Yes, life is good. I had to relearn to live it sober, but is it ever grand.

I’m at 31 and have been really worried about my retirement funds lately too, how funny. Yes indeed, first world problems. Congratulations on your new life.

Thanks, Ghostlight.

Your message about relearning to live sober gave me pause for thought. Thank you

I am going on holiday with heavy drinking friends in under 2 weeks. Your message had me thinking about this and I have put a few loose plans in place to keep me busy so that I am stronger when the wine is flowing - following the Herriot trail, steam trains and cream teas.

Yes, it does sound grand!

Congratulations on a month plus, Lucinda! Sobriety totally rocks, and I wish you the best upon your sober journey.
