Good morning all happy Friday. Up early on my day off from my new job. First paycheck since February. So happy about that. Plus I am at day 83 today. That being said Now that your free from the oppression of Alcohal, do you think you could create a life that you dont want to escape from? Keep coming back😃

I think so. Drink feels liberating sometimes, but in fact it's incredibly limiting. I'm early sober, but I'm going to try slowly adding things I would/could never do while drinking. I'm going to try to work on a pleasant routine - simple stuff at the moment like eating at the same time, good sleeping routine - but hopefully more and more interesting stuff.

Like someone said here, bad routines are hard to break, but so are good ones after some time.

My view is that all life keeps evolving and that will also happen in sobriety. It is not escaping from the present but ever moving and exploring.

My non drinking life is very nice and nothing I want to escape from. Just waking up every day feeling good is reward enough.

Yes, I am trying to create a life that I won't want to escape from...its not easy...but day 33...and my life is certainly better than it was 34 days ago....Wow....so much better!

oh yea, congrats on that first check. I got my first pay check since Nov this week. We get paid on tuesday so number 2 coming soon. We actually got a raise while I was laid off so that much better. Hope the new job works out for you and all the better on 83 days.
