Please Don't Drink

It will ruin your life if you're an alcoholic.
You'll get sick - really sick. Alcohol is death.

Have you been drinking? We don't want you to go through this anymore either.

I pray for your healing

Your post kinda struck a chord with me and then I reviewed your old posts.

A lot of up and down.

The trap I'm caught in is that alcohol makes a lot of promises it can't keep long term.

But now I need help and I see in your posts the underlying depression.

I'm not a doctor but maybe you could find a find a way to see one because perhaps if your underlying issues were resolved you wouldn't need to drink?

Perhaps you're attacking the symptom and not the problem?..

Best to you again for healing and a fruitful life

I could not stop drinking. I had to call into work.

I'm going to AA tomorrow after work. I don't care anymore - I need sobriety.

I think meetings can be helpful. So many people with the same goal - to stay sober.

The title of your post is so emotionally driven and powerful...you are in the depths I can tell....I have been suffering as long as you as well...I looked back on your posts..never ending battle.

I have been trying for 6 years...to quit again....and I think I finally had enough.
I really hope that you get that "gift" I do.

If you need sobriety that badly I bet you could find a meeting to go to yet tonight. Or spend some time here instead. I waited for “tomorrow” to quit for about 25 years.

Let us know that you go to that meeting. I think that's a great step (a big one too!).

What are you doing about the continued drinking itself? You can go to AA of course, with just a desire to stop - but you know by now that not drinking is critical. Go to the ER if you need to, but please get that piece of the equation out now.

You can do this.
