I've noticed a bit of backsliding later towards the old 'your recovery method sucks' mentality.

A few years back it got so bad we made up a new rule.

Words like cult, and allusions to drinking the Kool Aid or disparaging remarks about methodology, or remarks against things like HPs (and AVs), are against that spirit - just as disparaging 'hows that working for ya' type remarks from 'believers' to 'non-believers' are.

Everyones entitled to their opinion - but lately some folks have been edging further than that and trying to force their opinions on others under the guise of plain speakin'.

You don't have to agree with other recovery methods - but you do need to be respectful to those who do believe in them.

I/We'll be removing posts I/we think are problematic in this way from this point in.

Hopefully tho everyone will be mindful and I/we won't have to.

I'm not opening this up for debate because frankly it's non negotiable - but people can always PM me if they want to hash this out.

A couple of people have PMed me worried they can't use the term HP anymore.

Its not anything like that of course

Its about people speaking about the things other people use or believe - be whether it HP and AA, or AV and Rational Recovery, or whatever else - in a derogatory way.

I was simply using those terms as examples.

I've edited my previous post as well to hopefully make the intent clear.

The basic thing is the same as it's ever been - lets share whats worked for you, not what hasn't - and lets be respectful towards others, whether you share their beliefs or not.
