I’m back

So I’ve been gone for a few years, I got pregnant and that forced me to be sober for 2 years.
Slowly I began to slide.
I’ve completely embarrassed myself in front of all family and friends.
Asking my husband to buy me wine at 10am ....
The downward spiral is deep.
Im back and I’ll try AA tomorrow....

once an alcoholic always an alcoholic. The good news is that the embarrassment stops if you stay sober each day and a wonderful new life of hope, pride, optimism, love, and serenity can flourish.

The meeting sounds like a good move; honesty, open-mindedness and willingness is key to recovery in my experience 🙏

Welcome back, Shantilove.

I'm glad you're here. I remember embarrassing myself a number of times. Getting myself sober solved that problem.

You can do this!

It was one final embarrassment in front of family that made me quit for good. There had been many other embarrassments before that but like most alcoholics I was a slow learner.

Welcome back!

I've embarrassed myself on many many occasions, I'm sure we all have on here. It goes hand in hand with being a drunk 😊, the good news is you don't have too keep embarrassing yourself. Xx
