Today is our 7th year wedding anniversary. AH is 28 days sober. We are in a good place right now....AH is back to reading his bible in the mornings, we're back in church on Sundays, and I can't even begin to tell you how nice it is to fall asleep FACING him and not smell alcohol. Oh....and he's back to cleaning up the kitchen every night after I cook. (I really missed that! LOL)

We've got a nice evening planned for tonight....but there's this tiny part of me that's been .... stressed today. I'm not even sure if stressed is the right word. AH and I talked about it bc he noticed it, too. I'm thinking it's because it might be our first anniversary where he's not drunk and some argument doesn't break out. It's also been a year since the emotional affair was discovered and it was hell this time last year.

I'm glad we can talk about it and he's very loving and understanding. Healing is a process, though, so I'm going to allow myself to feel whatever it is I'm feeling, but not let myself get bogged down in some negative spiral. Time to make some new memories.

Thanks, ya'll! It turned out to be a very nice evening. I made rack of lamb, sweet potatoes, and asparagus with bearnaise sauce. I am about to go into a food coma. (Hubby is already in his food coma) - first sober anniversary is in the books!
