I have a disfunctional family Dandylion. Gratitude has been my biggest aid to staying sober, I post on the morning grat and bedtime one daily. No matter how bad things are there is always, always someone who is worst off. Give it a try, it saved me. Xxxx

would probably be ok if I were surrounded by people like you everyday.
But we are surrounding you....just virtually.
My family is kind of awful frankly. I moved away so I could not be surrounded by them
It is hard, being alone. Especially when still drinking. There is nothing lonelier then me, an almost empty box of wine, and the prospect of withdrawals. Oh man, I can literally 'feel' that emptiness when I think about it.
But with time, and really not that much, 'things' do get better. But ya gotta stop drinking first....if you don't you won't feel better. Period.
Get help. Go to AA. What an amazing family of people...all wrapped up and waiting for you. Truly. You don't have to be alone.
