Here are my top 5 positives about being sober:
1. Health: I recently had a full check-up and blood tests. All as it should be. This is huge.
2. Playing golf without a hangover. I got so used to hangover golf that I thought that was the norm. It is wonderful to stand on the first tee box and actually look forward to the game and not the 19th hole.
3. No anxiety. It is gone. I feel calm even in adversity and I just deal with things as I should.
4. Solitude. I enjoy being on my own, gym, lunch, shopping, reading. Socialising is no priority.
5. Gratitude. It realy is the small things that matter.
Thats it and that is so much. Thank you SR for being here for all of us and for showing that we are never alone.

My top 5 so far:
1- don't wake up feeling like crap and with regrets
2- I remember and I'm not as moody. I found drinking really brought out every negative emotion I had and I dwelled in it. Sure I can still feel annoyed or pissed off at a situation but it's momentary.
3-im more productive- at home,at work,etc
4- I sleep better, I feel more rested even if it's only 5 hours. I've seen me black out and get 9hours 'sleep' but wake up feeling like I've had 9mins
5- my health is improving. My heart rate is down, my digestive system has definitely improved (no more diarrhoea in the mornings and cramps!) And my skin isn't dry, my skin is soft and I have a healthier colour!
