Sounds like a good start

I'm not trying to nag - honestly...I guess what I'm getting at is trying to work out same way of avoiding whats happened to most of us in the past where we ease off the recovery energy and start to think we can drink again?

I think maybe create a "to do" list of 5 things you must do for yourself when a craving hits might be helpful if it is just "*creeping up" on you:

For example, 1.take a 30 minute walk, 2.prepare and eat some food,3. make a cup of tea, drink it, and write in your journal, 4.call a friend, 5.take a hot shower.

If you have to do all of that first before you even think about picking up, most likely you will get past the craving and not pick up at all

Those kind of mental tricks are actually quite effective.

My last defense is a pint of excellent ice cream. By the time I eat that, I am through just about any craving.

*Building new habits and implementing structured responses to cravings is how we "rewire" our brains to default to sobriety instead of drinking.

Just some ideas--well done on your 12 days Mummy!

Great job on two weeks Mummy. I found journaling, mindfulness, focusing on gratitude, and posting and reading here daily to be very helpful. They still are today.
