I believe the first 3 days of sobriety...
I think.....I think you are right to some extent. It certainly gets easier with time. You start to feel better mentally, physically, emotionally....that stuff for sure gets easier.
The only harder part I think is when you finally have to join regular society again. At least for me, I kept away from so much for so long that I didn't know how to deal with any social events without drinking. That's a challenge. But if you work your plan or program then you have the tools you need, you just need to put them into action. Each win is more ammo to build up for the next challenge.
But, you can't worry about what's to come. Just do it one day at a time. That's all you can do.

Life comes in, and becoming a sober person dealing with it is beautiful, real and perfectly imperfect for me. Even on the hardest days.

Me too. Well, I’m “only” at 176 days, but my urge to drink is zero except on rare occasions. If I look back to the first few days, it was incredibly tough. I wondered if every day would be this battle to overcome the urge that kicked in every evening.
It’s now the norm for me not to drink. The major factor this time was admitting to myself I was/am alcohol dependent and not going through another farcical trying to moderate stage. After that, it was quite easy.
Yes, first few days are very tough, but get through that, accept you can’t drink ever again and it’ll get so much easier within weeks 😀

The first 3 days for me are physically difficult as feel ill and feels strange not drinking.
It gets more difficult though as time goes on when I feel better and have sober time try and convince myself I don't have a problem. More mental and emotional challenges as time goes on
