Feel stronger kinda sore day 3?!

Hi,
On day 3, almost day 4. This is weird, but I feel kinda stronger a bit sore even though i havent worked out. Like if you lift weights, its that feeling where your muscles feel tight (a pump). My theory is that its because my body has been malnourished during this last week and a half binge, drinking like a fifth a day. Now that they're being fed healthy foods and protein they kind of fill back up giving that after gym feeling. I drink at least 2 gallons of water a day too. Is this all in my head? or has someone else experienced this. Before my latest binge I was exercising weights and cardio as well.

Thanks

I'd consider most anything uncomfortable normal at this starting point!

Taking literal care of myself coming off my obscenely heavy drinking was the first thing I had to do....hydrating, napping, (trying to) eat....and keep sober.

Everything about us has to heal and the process might be diff for many of us, but it's also the same- we need time.

Glad you are here.

I have had days like that a few times when I was drinking. Has not happened since I stopped but that has only been two weeks.

I felt quite miserable on Day 3, but that was a turning point for me. I tried to listen to my body and give it the food it seemed to want. As you said, lots of water, too. Resting may help you feel better. Your body is going through a lot right now.

Day 3 was the worst for me. Didn't really start to feel good until around Day 6. Any kind of ache and pain is normal, IMO.
