Before and After - Wanted to Share

I wanted to share this with ya'll. I'm not looking for compliments, and to be honest I'm mortified to post this....

On the right was June of 2018. I was a drunk. A fat slob. Always drunk, sick inside and out.

On the left is June of 2019. Sober. Healthy(ish).

This is what alcohol does.

When I saw that pic I was honestly shocked. I had no idea that I was THAT fat....I guess I just didn't notice (or care) because all I cared about is my next drink.

Thanks for sharing. It takes guts to share something like this and doing so helps put things in perspective for me. The time all adds up whether drinking or sober, clearly. Amazing transformation!

Oh, yay! You decided to share your pictures! I don't care if you're not looking for compliments, because I'm going to give you one: you are so good looking! Great work.

Oh stop, haha! Thank you. Can you inform the ladies of North Carolina how good looking I am?!

I don't post often but just wanted to say what a great advert for sobriety you are. A picture can say so much more than words sometimes.
Huge well done.....you look fabulous.

You look amazing! So glad you shared. You are healthy on the inside and the outside. I hope the same will happen to me (day 1 here). Thanks.

I love this; It's such an inspiration.

I just started working out regularly and it feels so good to be able to get out of bed without the hangovers, malnutrition, and constant body aches & fatigue from my drinking routine.

Cheers to you!

That was my first thought - you look so much happier. And, clearly you're a lot slimmer.

I'm glad that many have found my post to be inspiring, as that was my intention. I can say....I could look a LOT better. I eat like utter crap....my diet is so bad, still! Also, I only work out 1-2 times a week. I think that just shows you how BAD alcohol is for you. Just by giving it up alone, the change is huge.

My transformation was much the same. I got up to 230 at my heaviest now I'm at 180. Its amazing what subtracting a few thousand worthless calories a day will do for you. I can actually tie my shoes without shortness of breath. Eminem is 10 years sober now and he said a lot of people trade one addiction for another. (Exercise) Looking good brother. Keep up the good work.
