Day 1 and here we go

I haven't been a long time drinker, but have been closet drinking for about a year. I've risked my work, my marriage and children. I'm done! I have to. Yesterday I said today. Today is today. I'm craving vokda like madman. I'm happy to have found this place.

Welcome! Lots of folks here who can relate, that's for sure. This place is really helping me with the day-to-day ups and down that comes with quitting. Keeping coming back, posting how you're doing, and soak in the joy of a new life without poison in your body.

Ain't that the truth?! I smiled and scrolled by your comment, then paused and thought about all the "pastimes" drinking...same youtube videos, same drunk-dial conversations, same "plans" that never happen...Sobriety may not be all fun, but at least it goes somewhere, and the people you're talking to are real!
