Feeling great this morning!

Just excited to share I feel so great this morning. Working through week 1. And so far it’s been really hard - fighting anxiety, lots of self hate thoughts, loneliness, feeling lost, feeling sick, insomnia— but this morning, wow. I feel like a new person. I have so much energy even tho I didn’t sleep much last night. My face is looking a little dewy and less bloated. I feel calm. I can breathe deeply. Also, I’ve been eating home cooked meals (never did that while drinking) and how food tastes so good. And satisfying. And energizing. Idk. This morning sobriety is quite nice

That is so good to hear, jess!!! Congrats on making it through your first week! Glad that you get to start off week 2 feeling so good about what you've pushed through.

Way to go!

The mornings are the best bit. I have been reading posts from people who are waking up in blackout hell. They make me wince because I remember those god awful mornings very well. Life is nicer on our side of the fence. I hope you stay there. Good luck.

Nice! The first week was the worst, at least for me. If you think you feel good now, just wait....every day gets better and better.
