Through recovery my perspective has changed. The way I see my story and tell it continues to change.

It's funny, that headline made me think of something they say around these parts, "no good story ever started with a salad". The inference being alcohol leads to good stories to tell people. I don't buy that, it's an illusion. I'd rather have good days than the stories lol, but I do understand what is intended by the headline.

Bad day, good story: my first son died many years ago on July 5. My very loving grandma said 'Grandpa gets to meet him first.' (before she would). Grandpa had passed on and Grandma knew things I didn't understand yet. In recent years I've felt my first son's presence.

I've also meet many people who've had similar experiences.

Bad day, good story: being hurt very badly as a child. I survived, am very grateful for healing and embracing life. I'm no longer afraid!!!


Definitely also embracing the good days with good stories. Open to the good in life.

My perspective keeps changing, in good ways.

Awareness: this is a bad day.

Awareness: I'm human. It's good to feel all my emotions.
