Sleep
It seems I've found my escape.
I wish I could sleep for 14-15 hours per night; go to work and suffer through my 8 hour work day, then come home and do it again.
Sleep away the entire weekend.
I settle for 11-12 hours of sleep a night so I don't worry my dad as much.
18 days sober today.

18 days is awesome!! And though you don't describe your mood like in other threads, I hope that you have found some relief from the other days in recent past.
I have to say I used the nap and "Send Myself To Bed Early" technique a LOT in early sobriety, and even thru the first 2 yrs. At times, I went to bed at 6p. While I didn't always sleep soundly, it was a healthy way to pass time, to usually stop my thoughts, to get to another morning. My body and mind had a LOT of healing to do, and it took time.
Glad you are sharing.

congrats on day 18.
at the risk of upsetting you I say this with only care and concern - wanting to sleep my life away was a major symptom of my depression.
I really wish you'd see someone about this...but I know I can't make you..
