What are you thankful for?

What are you Thankful for this year...no matter what is going on in our lives, we all have a list. If I picked my top two, they would be:

1. My HP
2. All of life's experiences that caused me to seek My recovery and the person that I have become today.

Both of these make me more thankful then ever before for my children, husband, family and friends, my home, job, etc., etc.

We should all take time each day to remind ourselves of the things we each have to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, I wish you and your families all the best.

((hugs))

This has been the most amazing year of my life.
If I listed everything that I was grateful for, I would take up too much bandwidth.
Suffice it say that my blessings have been many, and my thank-you's for those blessings go out every day.
Adding my wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in my SR Family.

"And I don't mind saying that I still love it all
I wallowed in the springtime
Now I'm welcoming the fall
For every moment of joy
Every hour of fear
For every winding road that brought me here
For every breath, for every day of living
This is my Thanksgiving."

My children.
My job. (more like, the paycheck)
My growth in recovery.
The friends and family that have really supported me this year!
All of you here at SR. I'm very thankful that I found this board.
A vehicle to get me through winter - without having to get rid of the one that I own.
The rash on my back that I had for 2 years from stess, is now gone.
The calmness in my life which is so much more than it's ever been.

I could go on and on, but those are just a few.

In my favorote Psalm are the words...
If I had a life time to list the things that God has done for me, I wouldn't have enough time to list them all.

Waking up and able to put my feet on the floor.
One more day of being healthy, happy, and sober.

D - now my husband turned up in Feb this year, with a very good job, a flat and a car. Words can't express how impossible any one of those things would have been when I'd last seen him nearly ten years ago.

I'm thankful to him for never giving up, no matter how hard things got, and I'm thankful he found me - which took him nearly two years becuase he only had my name!!

This year NOTHING can come close to that.

I'm grateful for today because that lets me start tomorrow with a clean slate.

I'm grateful for the programme of recovery and faith in myself which AA and this site has helped me build.

I'm thankful for my gorgeous girlfriend and all she means to me.

I could go on. Needless to say that there is so much in my life which I now appreciate and for which I am eternally thankful.
