I'm mel and I'm 124 days sober!! I've tried treatment 4 times since 2011. Something finally changed and my desire to quit drinking overpowered the need for booze. But now life is happening good and bad. My bf .just got diagnosed with cancer., I'm fighting for custody of my 8 yr old son, I'm starting my 4th step, starting a new job, man some days are better than others but I am grateful to be sober. Grateful not to wake up and have to " calm the storm" as I call it..

Congrats on 124 days. Is this your longest dry spell?

Welcome, jeanmel!

Congratulations on 124 days sober!

I'm so very sorry to hear your BF was diagnosed with cancer. You sure have a full plate. I wish you the best as you move forward.

Great attitude!

Hi mel and welcome. You've found a great place for support.
You certainly have a lot on your plate right now. I'm happy to hear you're handling it all sober.
Yes, 'calming the storm' would put one more brick in the wall, so to speak. I'm also glad you don't have to deal with that.

Congratulations on 124 days, that is awesome.
Remember, you never have to drink again. No matter what.
Sending good thoughts your way and best to you.
I look forward to hearing more from you.
