400 days sober
400 days sober
No one came to save me. I drank for years expecting something to change. I wasted opportunity and luck. I put myself through unnecessary pain and inflicted pain on those closest to me. And no matter how many tomorrows I planned on, tomorrow never came.
400 days feels substantial, it feels solid and full. I have chosen the path that many have found here - one that requires work, demands growth and provides meaning. I grew the F up and took responsibility.
Saving your own life is the greatest gift you can give yourself and your loved ones. Grateful, empowered, relieved, at peace and evolving every day. 400 strong, and counting.

Hey LessGravity. I haven't logged in for a while but watching TV and drinking tea I thought I'd have a look at sober recovery and see what's going on. I came across your post. Congratulations! Maybe you started to write that book? It made me count my days and it suprised and gladened me! Thanks for that. Xx
