I am gaining my beautiful daughters trust back

thank god, she wants to invite her friends for a birthday sleepover, she wouldn’t of done that when I was drinking, we cuddle on the settee again like we used too, it’s a great feeling, have a peaceful sober weekend everyone

Ahh mummy thats lovely, our childrens love is the most important part of life i think. No money in the world can buy the feeling of a cuddle from your child and no substance can ever feel better that that pure unrequited love.

Mine took some time and I still sense flashes of the old fears, even after a year, but it's such a vital thing to earn back. Same with a spouse.

Keep going and doing the right sober things! It was wonderful to begin to trust my mom again - I always worried the other shoe would drop, though, so it takes time....glad they are so young and I hope for you all that this is the beginning of the sober, trusting rest of your family life!
