Billie is a very positive force in my life. She gets me outside walking and enjoying the day. She sleeps right next to me and is always right there when I wake up. She is a Very Good Dog.

I love the way this community bands together and helps people

I wouldn't like newcomers to think they always have to post positively tho - we want to hear about your problems and struggles so we can help

Today I went out and got a haircut, which was long overdue, and I like it.
Then went and picked up a prescription then bought a few groceries.
All on the train and bus.
Beautiful day. Eighty degrees.
Over all, a very productive day for me, and enjoyed it.

Yea! I agree. I’ve been down many many times and posted for support, also lately have been feeling positive and grateful in my sobriety and post for support in that too. It’s great to have a space to feel safe regardless. My positivity for the week, is I will have 7 months on Friday ❤️

Fell asleep last night after some ok chicken wings. They were sooo spicy.

At work, the new boss told me today he wanted me to lead the training on a new system because I could relate to the old guys.

Interesting angle.

With my new peaceful non drinking brain I was able to not be offended and get right on it.

I get paid the same if I am pissed off or happy. May as well be happy.

The positive side is my new clean self is slowly earning more respect all over my world. Yay!

Thanks.

Exercise keeps me positive & looking forward to the improvement it brings - physical, mental, spiritual, mood in general. Happiness is something to look forward to!

I survived another tax season (I'm a CPA). And I have 16 months sober last Friday. It's like an entirely different world I'm discovering again every day.

Congratulations on 16 months broheim. Currently 8 months sober. First sober tax season for me in 14 years (CPA). Isn’t it great?

Me too! Hit it hard today and I'm beat, but reinvigorated. Exercise rules.

Thank you, ThatWas. How nice.

Instead of being depressed about my winter weight gain I'm excited to finally be getting rid of it. Why, I might even exercise like Tailai & Ghostlight.

I love Dees point.

I love this post too.

I think they are linked. Because when I came here, jeese, probably like 7 years ago? More?

I wasn't ready to be positive. At all. I'm not naturally a super positive person as it is.

And yet, it was the relentless positivity of other members and their support that sustained me in sobriety during my sober time and also now as I attempt to gain some more time.

And learning to give back to that big reservoir of positivity is a big part of healing for me.

So....yes! Good

I will always have a positive message of recovery; it’s a wonderful way of life. I surround myself with positive people.

Grateful to be sober, grateful to be an alcoholic 🙏

Yes, yes, yes this thread is so needed. I love that dog, and I’ve had such a hard day and cried all morning, fight with my husband. But I did stay sober, get to the gym, and I have lost 3 lbs in the 19 days I’ve been sober. Tomorrow is day 20, it will be the longest streak of sobriety I’ve had in all of 2019
