Am I in a relapse and don't know it?

Just checking in here. This is the end of day 11 I believe. I didn't call my sponsor but I did go to a meeting. this always happens with sponsors where I stop contacting them or I just fall out of the habit. I don't want what I keep getting so I'm going call tomorrow. Some cravings today. But what I do not want is to be drunk. Drunk me disgusts me.

You're not in a relapse unless you let it happen. Resist the urge, you 'll feel better about it in the morning.

you have to have some time sober- imo at least many months- for that to occur.
i dont believe in relapses,though.
i call them em what they are-pre meditated drunks.

youre experiencing very early recovery. you know you should have called your sponsor, know the solution, and going to get into the solution-

the bb calls what youre experiencing the mental obsession.theres a solution for it- it will disappear IF you work for it.

hey Press- I agree with tomsteve about knowing what to do. You didn't drink, so you can call your sponsor today and go to a meeting- from a sober perspective.

As my Dad would say, "make a great day" and along the way, plenty of times that means just doing the next right thing even if it's "just" a meeting and sponsor communication. Keep going- you are doing it one day by day by...

Keep us posted along your day- someone will be here!

I don't think you are, because you are doing what you know you need to do. As long as you keep doing it, you should be ok. Now, if you quit talking to your sponsor, quit going to meetings, yeah, you might be headed for a relapse. You said it yourself, you don't want what you keep getting, so do the opposite of what you have done before (quit posting here, quit calling sponsor, quit going to meetings).
